ArchiCAD is a BIM (Building Information Model) CAD software for 3D design and architectural and construction CAD design.

How to get the software

Licenses, recipients, request and download methods

  • Annual license
  • The software can be installed on personal PCs or PCs owned by the Politecnico

Request and download

  1. Connect to myarchicad.com site and choose the page Student or Insegnante [Professor], depending on your status
  2. register using the University institutional email address
    (eg. nome.cognome@mail.polimi.it or nome.cognome@polimi.it)

    • download the 30-day version and apply for full year extension
    • indicate Politecnico di Milano in the University field
    • wait for the email verification and license from Graphisoft
  • Annual license
  • The software can be installed on personal PCs

Download

In the absence of specific indications, PhD students can use:

  • software intended for students on personal PCs
  • software for teaching staff on departmental PCs

This software is not available for technical and administrative staff.

Educational licenses

The licenses are “educational” editions, the use of the application packages is strictly limited to the University’s institutional activities, thus excluding any use for personal, professional purposes and for profit.
