The licenses are “educational” editions, the use of the application packages is strictly limited to the University’s institutional activities, thus excluding any use for personal, professional purposes and for profit.
Solemma ClimateStudio
Solemma ClimateStudio is an advanced environmental and energy simulation software designed as a plugin for Rhino 3D and Grasshopper. It allows users to analyze daylighting, thermal comfort, building energy consumption, and solar radiation impact with high accuracy.

How to get the software
Licenses, recipients, request and download methods
Teaching staff
- Annual license
- The software can be installed on personal PCs or PCs owned by the Politecnico
Request and download
- the teacher can ask for download and license instructions via online request form, specifying the name, surname and email of the students.
- Once you receive the license file, place it in the folder C:\ProgramData\Solemma\Common\Licenses
Students
- Annual license
- The software can be installed on personal PCs
Request and download
- Activation is requested by the reference teacher through an online form.
- Once you receive the license file, place it in the folder C:\ProgramData\Solemma\Common\Licenses
PhD students
In the absence of specific indications, PhD students can use:
- software intended for students on personal PCs
- software for teaching staff on departmental PCs
This software is not available for technical and administrative staff.
