Educational licenses
The licenses are “educational” editions, the use of the application packages is strictly limited to the University’s institutional activities, thus excluding any use for personal, professional purposes and for profit.
KeyShot Studio
KeyShot Studio is a 3D rendering and visualization software that transforms three-dimensional models into photorealistic images, animations, and interactive presentations. It realistically simulates materials, lighting, and surfaces and is used to visualize products and prototypes before they are physically manufactured.

How to get the software
Licenses, recipients, request and download methods
Teaching staff
- The software can be installed on a PC in the University network, owned by the Politecnico, or on the personal PCs
Request and download
- Teachers who have requested KeyShot Studio for a course can request installation instructions via the online request form
- Download the software
Log in with your personal code, preceded by POLIMI\, and relative password. Ex. POLIMI\12345678
Students
- Annual license
- The software can be installed on personal PCs
Request and download
- Activation is requested by the reference teacher through an online form
- Create a KeyShot account using the institutional email address and download the software from Download | KeyShot Account
- Once you receive the activation code from your teacher, enter it when prompted
PhD students
In the absence of specific indications, PhD students can use:
- software intended for students on personal PCs
- software for teaching staff on departmental PCs
This software is not available for technical and administrative staff.
