Siemens Femap
Femap is an engineering simulation application for creating, modifying, and importing or reusing mesh-centric finite element analysis models for complex products or systems. Femap can be used to model components, assemblies, or systems, as well as to determine behavior in response to a specific operating environment.

How to get the software
Licenses, recipients, request and download methods
Teaching staff
- The software can be installed on PCs in the University network and owned by the Politecnico (see the student version for install on a Personal PC)
Request and download
- Request the license key via online request form
- Download the software
Log in with your personal code, preceded by POLIMI\, and relative password. Ex. POLIMI\12345678
Students
- Annual license
- The software can be installed on personal PCs

- Follow the instructions
To obtain software from the Siemens family, a single registration on the manufacturer portal is required. Once you have registered, you will be able to download all the software.
PhD students
In the absence of specific indications, PhD students can use:
- software intended for students on personal PCs
- software for teaching staff on departmental PCs
This software is not available for technical and administrative staff.

Educational licenses
The licenses are “educational” editions, the use of the application packages is strictly limited to the University’s institutional activities, thus excluding any use for personal, professional purposes and for profit.
