Overleaf

Overleaf is an online LaTeX editor, a sophisticated typesetting system that simplifies the process of writing, editing, and publishing accurately formatted scientific documents. It serves as a platform for interdisciplinary collaboration, featuring real-time editing, project sharing and history, version control and revision, and comprehensive reference and citation search capabilities. Additionally, it offers access to a vast library of pre-configured templates.

The remaining period will be refunded starting from the date of notification by email, and not from the affiliation date.

2 – Activate the Polimi license

  1. Go to the Academic Overleaf Portal
  2. Select “Log in with SSO”
  3. Authenticate yourself on the Academic authentication page
  4. If necessary, connect your existing Overleaf account, if it was activated with the institutional email address, by pressing the “Link Accounts” button.
Otherwise, if it was activated with another email address, delete the new empty account just created on the institutional email address (Account – Account Settings – Need to leave?) and follow the instructions in the section: “1 – Follow the instructions depending on your current scenario”.
  5. Remember to reconfirm your affiliation to the Academic Overleaf Commons subscription by logging in via SSO (point 2.) at least once every 18 months.
Otherwise, your Overleaf account will be downgraded to a free subscription with no premium features.

Educational licenses

The licenses are “educational” editions, the use of the application packages is strictly limited to the University’s institutional activities, thus excluding any use for personal, professional purposes and for profit.
