Software for students

The licenses are "educational" editions, the use of the application packages is strictly limited to the University’s institutional activities, thus excluding any use for personal, professional purposes and for profit.

For each software, training resources, documentation and system requirements are highlighted.

Notice

The Politecnico has received several reports from software manufacturers of University network users making use of unlicensed applications.
It is important to note that such activities are prosecutable offences and legally subject to sanctions. Consequently, users are invited to:
- avoid these unlawful practices in the strongest terms
- consult the catalogue of software packages available for different categories (students, professors, technical/administrative staff) that may be used based on licensing agreements entered into by the University.
In this regard, please note that these licenses are always for "educational" editions, which implies that the use of the corresponding application packages is strictly limited to the University’s institutional activities, thus excluding any use for personal, professional purposes and for profit.
Any unlawful conduct shall be reported to the Postal Police and might be the subject of both a civil and a criminal trial. The Politecnico di Milano reserves the right to act directly, or indirectly through a claim for compensation, against the responsible subjects, both in civil proceedings instituted against the wrongdoers, or in any criminal proceedings that might be instituted by the Public Prosecution against the wrongdoers, joining them as a civil claimant seeking damages.
